  • What is an Export Operation License for Emerging Commodities?


This service applies to all emerging agricultural commodities and products (high value) for export produced in Rwanda, with a potential value and significant impact contributing to the national economic basket through export, based on existing laws and regulations. The service is provided by National Agricultural Export Development Board( NAEB).


The license is valid for 5 years.

  • What do you need before you start applying?

Here’s all you need.


  • You must have an account on Irembo. To create an account, click here.

  • A company Tax Identification Number (TIN)

  • A valid mobile phone number or email (optional) to receive updates and track your application.

  • Requirements

You should prepare the following:

  • Valid Market Contract or Purchase Order

  • Valid and notified Supply contract (between a farmer/ supplier and exporter) or Leasing contract, and copies of land ownership document-UPI (own production).

  • CVs of key staff

  • Export performance report

  • Copy of expired license
