It is a vital requirement for exporters, as it provides proof of the origin of the tea, which is often needed for customs clearance, trade agreements, or tariff benefits in the importing country. Additionally, each batch of tea from different factories must be submitted separately for certification.
  • What is an export certificate for tea?

An export certificate for tea; Certificate of Origin, is issued by the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) in Rwanda through IremboGov and is an official document that confirms that the tea being exported was grown, produced, or processed in Rwanda. 

It is valid for one-time use only.
