How to Apply for Fertilizer Registration

This service allows a business that would like to sell or manufacture fertilizer in Rwanda to participate in an efficacy trial after being assessed and approved by Rwanda Inspectorate, Competition and Consumer Protection Authority regulation (RICA). The business will then be issued a product registration certificate after a successful trial.
Prerequisites
To apply, you must have the following:
An active OneStop Centre account.
The business or individual must have a Tax Identification Number (TIN).
A valid phone number, email address, or both to receive updates.
General Requirements
Have a registered local agent in Rwanda.
Submit a sample of the fertilizer for testing.
Required Attachments
Copy of the certificate of registration of the fertilizer from the country of origin or any other country.
Business Registration Certificate from RDB.
Proof of qualification and contract of technical personnel.
Certificate of product analysis.
Drafted the label of the product as per labeling
Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of the fertilizer.
Copy of the applicant’s passport.
Copy of the latest Business Registration Certificate.
Optional Attachments
An authorization letter from the manufacturer (if the applicant is not the product owner).
Laboratory test results.

Application Submission:
After successfully submitting the application, the applicant receives a billing number (e.g., 88…) to use to pay
Payment:
A billing number/ID will be generated for payment. Click Pay to complete the transaction.
Applicants can choose the mode of payment.
Certificate/License Delivery:
Once your application is approved, you will receive your e-license.
