How to Apply for Butchery Premise Registration

This service allows businesses operating a butchery to register their premises and comply with the Rwanda Inspectorate, Competition and Consumer Protection Authority (RICA) regulations. This registration certificate is then used to obtain an operating license.

Who is eligible to apply for this service?

Businesses or individuals who wish to register their butchery premises in compliance with RICA regulations.

Note: A Tax Identification Number (TIN) is required to apply for this service.

How to apply for the Butchery Premise Registration.

Simply visit the OneStopCentre platform: onestopcentre.rdb.rw 

What do you need before you start applying?

Here’s all you need:

  • An active OneStopCenter account. To create an account, click here.

  • Tax Identification Number (TIN)

  • Valid mobile phone number or email address: To receive updates and track your application.

Required attachments:

  • A copy of premises ownership permits or a lease agreement

  • List of personnel and their medical certificates

  • Business registration certificate from RDB

  • Passport copy

  • Latest RICA Registration certificate

  • Calibration certificate

1. Application Submission:

After successfully submitting the application, the applicant receives an application number (e.g., C2…), which can be used to track the status.
