If you plan to export Rwandan coffee, obtaining an Export Operation License for Coffee is your first step.


  • What is the export operation license?

 This license ensures your business is registered with the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) and compliant with Rwanda’s coffee export standards.

The license is valid for  5 years from the date of issuance

  • What do you need before you start applying?

Here’s all you need.


  • You must have an account on Irembo. To create an account, click here.

  • A company Tax Identification Number (TIN)

  • A valid mobile phone number or email (optional) to receive updates and track your application.

You will also need to have the following attachments:

  • Business plan 

  • Coffee supplier contract  

  • Buyer contract

  • Export performance report

  • Certificate for Quality Assurance Staff

  • Business/RCA registration certificate

  • The letter that proves a coffee washing station
