After completing construction in Rwanda, investors/business owners must comply with specific regulatory steps to finalize their projects. These steps ensure that buildings meet safety, structural, and regulatory standards before they are legally occupied.
This guide outlines the key services available in the post-construction phase and their requirements.
Service Provider: RDB One Stop Centre.
Prerequisites:
The applicant must have an account on Irembo. To create an account, click here.
The applicant must have a registered company and a valid company Tax Identification Number (TIN).
If you haven’t registered your company, you may register one through the Irembo platform using the following link:
You must have an active email and phone number

Occupation permit | 10 days | The price depends on the size of the gross floor area |
Note: The price of an occupation permit depends on the size of the gross floor area:
Below 100 sqm = 20,000 Rwf
Between 100 sqm and 200 sqm = 100,000 Rwf
Between 200 sqm and 500 sqm = 150,000 Rwf
Above 500 sqm = 200,000 RWF

Validity:
The billing number must be paid within 30 days
Notifications:
At every stage of the process, you will receive an email and SMS notifying you about the status and updates of your application
Certificate/License Delivery:
Once your permit is approved, you will receive the license via the email provided during the application process.
