What is a New construction permit?

Individuals/cooperatives and companies wanting to start construction activities can apply for a Construction permit. After filling in the details of your project, Irembo will display the building's category.

Applicants with buildings in categories 1 and 2 have the right to apply for themselves or with the assistance of a licensed engineer/architect. For categories 3, 4, and 5, applicants need licensed architects or engineers to support their applications for this building permit.

Validity is 2 years since the first download

You must have an account. To create an account, click here.
A company Tax Identification Number (TIN)
An environmental impact assessment (EIA) is mandatory for all building types except those categorized as 1, 2 & 3 before applying for a construction permit.
A valid mobile phone number or email (optional) to receive updates and track your application.

If a professional is selected, they will proceed to apply to the concerned authorities. Please note that licensed architects and engineers will charge for these services at a fee outside of this platform.
