How to Apply for an Import Permit

This service allows individuals and companies to obtain the necessary import permits to bring commodities into Rwanda. The service ensures that imported goods comply with the country’s regulatory and standard requirements. 

It is provided by the Rwanda Inspectorate, Competition and Consumer Protection Authority (RICA).

• What you need before applying

Here’s all you need:

• An active OneStop Centre account.

• The business or individual must have a Tax Identification Number (TIN).

• A valid phone number, email address, or both to receive updates.

• After successfully applying, you will receive an application number (starts with C2…), which you can use to track the status of your application at any time.

• Once your application is approved, you will be notified via SMS or email, and your e-certificate will be available for download on the platform.
