How to Apply for the Transfer of Your Business Registration

This service allows you to transfer your company’s registration from Rwanda to another country. It ensures that your business relocation complies with both Rwandan regulations and the legal requirements of the destination country

• Who is eligible to apply for this service?

Businesses that meet all of the following criteria:

• They are legally registered in Rwanda.

• Have cleared all their tax obligations.

• Have obtained approval from the foreign company to which they wish to transfer the business.

Simply visit the One Stop Centre platform: onestopcentre.rdb.rw.

• What do you need before you start applying?

Here’s all you need.

• You must have an account. To create an account, click here.

• A valid mobile phone number or email (optional) to receive updates and track your application.

• Tax Identification Number (TIN)

Prepare the following supporting documents:

• Transfer resolution 

• Credit clearance certificate acquired from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)

• Evidence that the foreign company allows the company transfer and 

• Any other supporting documents

Note: All attachments must be notarized

1. Application Submission:

After successfully submitting the application, the applicant receives an application number (C2…), which can be used to track the status.

2. Certificate/License Delivery:

• Once your application is approved, you will receive a certificate via the email address provided during the application process.
