The Rwanda Development Board (RDB), through its Office of the Registrar General, allows both Rwandan and non-Rwandan entrepreneurs to reserve a name for a future company, enterprise, or partnership ahead of formal registration.
Upon approval, a name reservation certificate is issued that validates the chosen name for a 3-month period. This certificate can be renewed once, offering a total of six months to finalize all documentation for business incorporation.
Note: If the process is not finalized within six months, you will need to reapply to reserve the name
The name reservation process is an integral part of the business registration process, allowing applicants to secure their desired business name from anywhere.
